When training in rokushuku bojutsu (6 foot stick used in a flexible way under presser) it is very important to use the legs and core of the body as one unit. The arms direct the power and aim the energy of the bo (6 foot stick) into one strong flow for personal defense. Train with the Kamae and Basic bojutsu uchi waza. There is an interaction between all of them but that has to be shown this person to person because words can express this incorrectly. Though the study of these Koryu (Old schools martial arts), we can learn many ancient secrets lessons that the Masters Old were teaching. Thank you for the question.
